The refractory strip heaters are ideal for fast heat dissipation as in convection heating, process ovens, and dryers.
Double channel sheath provides rigid unit resisting warpage. The sheath is made with rust-resisting iron for temperatures not exceeding 750°F and chrome steel for temperatures up to 1200°F.
Each heater consists of coiled nickel-chromium wire, properly centered and imbedded in a high grade refractory material (special ceramic formula) which insures good insulation and rapid transfer of heat.
Uses
General purpose heaters for use in drying ovens, clamp-on water heating, warming ovens, ink drying, crane cabs, plastic mold heating, core baking ovens, valve houses, pipe lines, process welding and process ovens and dryers, incubators and preheating.
Uniform heat transfer, low cost, long life, suitable for tailoring to many commercial and industrial applications.
Complete line from 6" through 43" (all fractional inch lengths available), high and low temperature, common voltages from 120v to 550v.
Staggered Terminals
Heaters are available with terminals located at both ends or with both terminals at one end. In the latter case, the terminals are staggered to allow ample clearance for bus bars or for connectors to be taken off the end on either side. Terminal leads should be steel, nickel, or monel metals.
Strip heaters of special ratings and lengths can be supplied to meet unusual conditions.
